Compatibility of OPENQCM Q-1 with the future electrochemical module

According to a previous discussion, OpenQCM will release an electrochemical module compatible with the NEXT and Q-1 microbalances. I am considering buying both the Q-1 and the electrochemical module. However, I do not know whether I should wait to buy both of them as a single set, i.e., when the electrochemical module becomes available or I can buy them separately without a risk of paying for duplicate parts, e.g., mounting rings or similar.

    We are pleased to inform you that the new electrochemical module will indeed be compatible with the existing openQCM Q-1. In fact, it has been designed specifically with the goal of ensuring seamless integration with the current openQCM Q-1 device.
    OIN the other hand, the NEXT module is still under development and we hope to launch it in the coming months.
